What Obsession?!

So I’m sitting at work, minding my own business and someone comes up to me and asks “Don’t you think you’re a little too old to be obsessed with Harry Potter?” I take a sip of my coffee and say, “What makes you think I’m obsessed? Now be gone with you muggle!”

The only laughter I heard was my own. I find myself hilarious sometimes…

Happy Thursday Ya’ll!

That Thrift Game

I love finding a great deal! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!  So I am very excited to share this amazing thrift find! This beautiful Tory Burch dress usually goes for $300 but I found this beaut for $5! Can I get an AMEN! I paired it with some cute wedges (Steve Madden) and an adorable necklace! ❤️❤️❤️   And by the way, this is totally a Southern Belle outfit! MUAH!

Being Girly

Just bought a new polish about a week ago and wanted to share! I don’t always paint my nails because they chip so easily but I have finally found a polish that sticks.  This is about 6 days in!

The color is Perfect Pair 535.  It’s a nude-pink color with a gel base. Totally goes with everything! I bought mine off of Amazon. 1. Because I have and love prime, so I buy everything off of Amazon and 2. because it is way cheaper than other stores.  I also bought a few other colors so I’ll let you know how they turn out asap!

I feel pretty! Thanks ya’ll!

I was late to work…

Now, I’m normally a pretty organized person….. but this morning, I was running super late! I missed my workout and breakfast! I’ve had bronchitis for the past week and still haven’t gotten back into my routine.  Well either way, I was so late. When this happens, I usually grab my go to outfit! It usually consists of a button up, capris and a pair of booties. This is today’s outfit! It is comfortable, easy and work appropriate!

(Button Down Shirt: You can find a similar polo here.)

(Ray Bans Wayfarers; Michael Kors Watch)

(Booties: I got these from Express but they no longer sale them 😦 but you can find a similar pair here.)

‘Southern’ Style on a Dime

Being from the South, people have this certain expectation about ‘us’ southerners.  They perceive us as really sweet women who sit on the porch all day and sip sweet tea and dress extremely preppy. This is only partially true and it’s really the sweet tea part (which btw I can’t find not one single place that serves sweet tea here)!!

As for the fashion side of things, not all southerners are preppy.  I for one am not.  See…..I grew up with an older brother, who loved to think his baby sister was a little boy.  So I was MMA fighting at a young age, well not literally but I had to fend for myself.  So a pretty sun dress wouldn’t suffice in with my hardcore fighting life.  So I was wearing t-shirts, shorts, and chucks a lot. My mom would buy me dresses but I refused.

So my style has change somewhat and I wouldn’t even say I have a set “style.”  I like to wear whatever I’m feeling that day. One day I can go from edgy, the next preppy, and the next wear cowboy boots.  It really depends on my mood. I do get complimented a lot but in the same token people say “well that’s a weird outfit, but I like it.”  Ummm thanks?!

I literally wear what I want and sometimes just throw something together. And I don’t spend a lot.  My first stop is always the sale’s rack! I love a good deal!

Here’s today’s outfit!
